Mackinley Sim is a litigation associate in the firm’s Regina office. Mackinley’s practice is focused on civil and commercial litigation.
Mackinley joined the McDougall Gauley team in 2022 as an associate lawyer. He maintains a practice focused on civil and commercial litigation. Mackinley has gained experience with a variety of disputes and appeals, including complex commercial matters, construction disputes, and class action litigation. Mackinley has also been involved in numerous procedural matters. Mackinley is driven by a desire to solve complex problems and achieve practical results for the firm’s clients. Mackinley has prepared submissions for and appeared before all levels of court in Saskatchewan and the Federal Court of Canada.
Prior to joining the firm, Mackinley served as a Law Clerk at the Court of Appeal for Saskatchewan where he clerked for former Chief Justice Robert Richards, current Chief Justice Robert Leurer, and former Justice Jacelyn Ryan-Froslie.
Mackinley earned his Juris Doctor with great distinction from the University of Saskatchewan, College of Law. During law school, Mackinley was an Editor and subsequently a Managing Editor of the Saskatchewan Law Review.
Mackinley was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan and is proud to practice law in his hometown.
