McDougall Gauley LLP is pleased to announce that, effective January 1, 2026, Erin Kleisinger, K.C. has been appointed the Managing Partner of the firm.
Erin has been a respected and valued member of the firm for more than three decades. She is a trusted legal and strategic advisor to her clients, which include universities, Crown corporations, financial institutions, manufacturers, and regulators. She has been recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada in the areas of Education Law, Banking and Finance Law, and Insolvency and Financial Restructuring Law.
Erin has a deep commitment to service to her profession and her community. She was a member of the Council of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada, serving as the Federation’s President in 2023-24. Erin is also a former Bencher and President (2017) of the Law Society of Saskatchewan. Outside of the law, Erin was on the board of directors of Group Medical Services and GMS Insurance Inc. for over 20 years, including two terms as Chair. Erin currently sits on the boards of the Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education (CPLED), the Canadian Lawyers’ Insurance Association (CLIA) and the Law Foundation of Saskatchewan. She is also the Co-Chair of the Federation / Canadian Council of Law Deans Joint Working Group on Legal Education and Entry to Practice.
Throughout her career, Erin has demonstrated exceptional leadership, a strong commitment to client service, and a clear strategic vision that aligns with the firm’s long-term goals. In her new role, Erin will oversee the firm’s strategic direction, operations, and continued growth, while upholding its core values of legal excellence, integrity, leadership in the profession and dedication to the community.
