McDougall Gauley LLP's Jyoti S. Haeusler participated as a panelist at the 2026 American Immigration Lawyers Association Global Migration Section (AILA/GMS) Annual Global Migration Forum on June 15 and 16, 2026. This event gathered immigration professionals from across the world to discuss global migration and related topics.
As a member of the panel titled "Stormy Seas: Why Expat Assignments are Becoming Harder to Navigate", Jyoti provided the Canadian perspective with global mobility in Canada and highlighted the recent changes to the Intra Company Transfer Program that multinational companies rely upon to move specialized and high level executives to work in Canada.
Jyoti is a partner in the firm’s Regina office and maintains a broad family and immigration law practice. She has argued successfully before the Saskatchewan Court of King’s Bench, Court of Appeal, Immigration Refugee Board of Canada, Immigration Appeal Division, and Federal Court of Canada. Jyoti is an active member of the Immigration Section of the Canadian Bar Association, fulfilling such past roles as, Member-At-Large and Submissions Coordinator for the National Immigration Section of the Canadian Bar Association and Chair for the Saskatchewan Section. Jyoti is also an active international member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
