McDougall Gauley LLP is one of Saskatchewan's oldest law firms with over 90 lawyers practicing in two locations, Regina and Saskatoon. Our firm is now accepting applications for an IT Support Analyst to work in our Regina office.
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in desktop support, Windows troubleshooting, Microsoft 365, basic networking, and end-user service. This role is well suited for someone early in their IT career who is eager to learn, contribute to a small team, and grow their technical skills in a professional services environment.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of Diploma, certificate, degree, or equivalent training in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 0-2 years of IT support experience, including co-op, internship, help desk, or desktop support experience; previous experience in a law firm or professional services environment would be an asset
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and common business applications
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and general connectivity troubleshooting
- Interest in cybersecurity principles, safe computing practices, and secure handling of confidential information
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with lawyers, staff, and IT team members
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to follow procedures, document work, ask questions when needed, and escalate issues appropriately
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or similar certifications are considered an asset
- A proactive, adaptable approach with a willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility over time
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide responsive IT support to lawyers and staff by phone, email, in person, or through the ticketing system
- Assist with troubleshooting desktop, laptop, printer, mobile device, Microsoft 365, application, network connectivity, and account access issues
- Set up, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, phones, printers, peripherals, and related user equipment
- Support user onboarding and offboarding activities, including account setup, device preparation, access requests, and basic permissions changes under direction
- Log, update, prioritize, and resolve support tickets while keeping users informed of progress and next steps
- Escalate complex or higher-risk issues to senior IT team members while maintaining ownership and follow-up through resolution
- Assist with routine device administration, patching, software deployment, inventory updates, and asset tracking
- Maintain clear documentation of support procedures, troubleshooting steps, known issues, and completed work
- Support IT projects, upgrades, and system implementations by completing assigned tasks and assisting senior team members
- Work collaboratively with the IT team to provide reliable, secure, and professional technology support across the firm
