McDougall Gauley LLP is one of Saskatchewan's oldest law firms with over 85 lawyers practicing in two locations. Our firm is now accepting applications for an Enterprise IT Infrastructure Engineer.
The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of IT infrastructure, with a focus on network, virtualization, cybersecurity, email systems and other general IT functions. This role requires both Windows and Linux knowledge, as well as database expertise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in enterprise IT infrastructure (a previous experience in a law firm would be an asset)
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Strong knowledge of network and virtualization technologies
- Strong knowledge of database management systems such as SQL Server, MySQL and MongoDB
- Experience and knowledge with cyber security principles, best practices, tools and technologies
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving skills and time management skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- IT certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA or other recognizable organizations are desirable
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design, implement and maintain IT infrastructure for on premise and cloud enterprise systems
- Administer and manage network and virtualization technologies
- Ensure the security of the IT infrastructure through the implementation of best practices, policies and procedures
- Manage and support email systems and other general IT functions
- Administer and manage databases, including troubleshooting and performance optimization to support enterprise database applications
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of new systems and technologies
- Provide technical guidance and support to internal customers and stakeholders
- Stay current with new technologies and industry trends to ensure the company's IT infrastructure is up-to-date
