Paul Wood practices defence litigation with a focus on professional discipline, regulatory, and insurance matters.
Paul has represented clients in various Saskatchewan and Alberta courts as well as numerous administrative tribunals involving:
- Defence of law enforcement and medical professionals
- Insurance litigation and appeals of injury awards
- Occupational Health and Safety charges
- Criminal conviction appeals
- Agricultural disputes
- General civil litigation
Paul’s insurance litigation practice is built on his broad experience, which includes:
- Acting as in-house counsel for Canada’s largest property and casualty insurer
- A year-long secondment to a Saskatchewan-based insurer
- Continuing to act as external counsel to numerous insurers
While in law school, Paul was elected 3rdyear class representative which included co-chairing the graduation committee. He also served as manager and guitarist of the Dissent (U of S Law’s charity rock band).
In his spare time, Paul enjoys skiing, fishing, hockey, skydiving, and playing guitar and piano. He maintains involvement in his family’s farming operation near Pense, SK.
