WORKING HERE
Growth
We strive to provide our students with excellent articles and a truly enjoyable articling experience. We offer articling students:

Opportunities for learning from the best lawyers in Saskatchewan
Work on interesting cases in a range of practice areas
Support and guidance in maintaining a proper work-life balance
Direct supervision, mentorship and guidance from experienced counsel
One month articling with the criminal section of the Federal Department of
Justice in Saskatoon or the Court of Appeal in Regina
The Bar Admission Course is demanding. We believe that it is important to both the student and our firm for the student to devote time to their bar admission studies. Some of the benefits offered to McDougall Gauley LLP students include:

'Bar Days' - one day a week scheduled for bar admission course work
Assistance in managing case loads to avoid conflicts with the requirements of
the bar admission course
Support
We offer comprehensive orientation and training sessions to assist our students in:

Making a smooth transition into the practice of law
Maximizing their opportunities for learning
Utilizing the extensive research and technological tools available
Opportunity
McDougall Gauley LLP retains several articling students each year, but not more than we would hire when they've passed the bar. We take this time to get to know the students and they get to know us. Our intention is to hire people who believe in our values and work well in our environment so that they continue with our firm as associates and, eventually, as our partners. Apart from meeting the usual academic requirements, our partners look for students who are well suited to our firm's culture. Our firm seeks individuals who will be a positive influence within the firm and in the communities in which we live and work.
