Profile
Ian's practice focuses primarily upon commercial law and litigation with an emphasis on banking litigation, banking law and secured transactions. He has significant experience in security preparation and enforcement, debtor-creditor law and insolvency law, including bankruptcy proposals and reorganizations. He regularly assists financial institutions in the realization process in relation to commercial, residential and agricultural enterprises and represents a number of clients with respect to commercial transactions and disputes. More recently, Ian's practice has focused on restructuring issues, particularly those involving instrument and court appointed receiverships, along with those dealing with matters relating to the use of the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act in the province of Saskatchewan.
Ian has been a member of the firm's Executive Committee since January 1, 2001.
