HISTORY
The Momentum of Action
Before our province existed...
Before space exploration...
Before the computer...
It takes both courage and conviction to be the first to move. One young lawyer started a law firm in an unsettled land. On September 15, 1891 22-year-old Norman MacKenzie hung out his shingle in the fledgling community of Regina. The ex-farmer from Ontario could not have guessed what an outstanding legacy his tiny law office would leave on the Northwest Territories.
Then came the pioneers, government, cars, the Riders and eventually the internet.
Laws have changed.
People change.
The name on our door has changed.
The momentum started by the young man at the roots of this firm remain part of our culture today:
our uncompromising commitment to our clients
our belief in and support of the law
the positive evolution of our partnership and our business
